Following Governor Ademola Adeleke's electoral victory, there are calls for the federal government to release withheld statutory allocations for Osun State's 30 local governments. The allocations, which have grown to over N250 billion, were seized after the February 2025 local government elections. The Supreme Court ruled the seizure a 'grave breach of the 1999 Constitution', but the funds remain unreleased.
