The Department of State Services (DSS) has suspended the prosecution of Omoyele Sowore, presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), over alleged cyber-bullying until after the 2027 general elections. The DSS directed its private counsel, Akinolu Kehinde, to take steps to suspend the case. The case was filed nearly a year ago after Sowore referred to President Bola Tinubu as a 'criminal' on his social media accounts. The DSS had sought judicial interpretation on the propriety of such descriptions.
