Minister of Works David Umahi has stated that the ongoing construction of the Trans-Sahara Superhighway will significantly improve security, agriculture, and commerce in Benue, Ebonyi, and Enugu states. Umahi made the remarks while inspecting the project at the Benue-Ebonyi boundary. He noted that the highway would ease the movement of farm produce from rural communities to markets. The minister added that motorists traveling at 100 kilometers per hour would cover the distance in about three hours upon completion.
