Operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Ogun State Police Command killed two suspected kidnappers during a counter-tactical operation along the Papalanto–Ilaro Road. The operation led to the safe rescue of an abducted professional truck driver who was kidnapped on August 25, 2026. Two AK-47 rifles, 25 rounds of live ammunition, and N2 million allegedly linked to the gang were recovered. The police acted on actionable intelligence received after the victim's abduction.
