Gunmen attacked Chiromawa town in Garun Malam Local Government Area of Kano State on Saturday night, killing three people and abducting the Sarkin Noma of Kano State, Alhaji Yusuf Nadabo Chiromawa. The attackers targeted the residence of the traditional title holder and opened fire indiscriminately, also injuring five others. The Chairman of the local government, Alhaji Aminu Salisu Kadawa, confirmed the incident and said the injured are receiving treatment at a hospital. Security personnel have been deployed to track down the attackers and secure the release of the abducted traditional ruler.
