The Igbo Community Association in Abuja has called on the Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi, to urgently repair federal highways linking the South East zone with other parts of the country before the yuletide. The group expressed concern over the deplorable state of federal roads in the region, describing key routes as death traps. They highlighted the Benin-Agbor-Asaba corridor as a critical artery that has caused severe gridlock, vehicle damage, loss of lives, and security risks. The association urged the federal government to act swiftly to prevent further tragedies.
