President Bola Tinubu has commenced a three-week working vacation, with his first destination being London, United Kingdom. The Presidency has not officially confirmed whether Vice President Kashim Shettima will serve as acting president during his absence. Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria to participate in the campaign for the January 2027 election.
