Protests and town hall meetings have led to some project cancellations, and this opposition is unlike other bottlenecks in the AI trade, such as power and memory scarcity, which have been bullish for related assets. Nohshad Shah, head of fixed income sales EMEA at Citadel Securities, noted that markets operate within rules set by voters and governments, and those rules are becoming more restrictive.
