Professor Abubakar Sulaiman, Director-General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), warned political actors against setting Nigeria on fire through their conduct and utterances ahead of the 2027 general elections. He urged politicians to engage in issue-based campaigns and foster an inclusive political culture. Sulaiman cautioned against divisive rhetoric and actions that could threaten national unity. NILDS plans to convene a political communication summit to address these issues.
