Residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) continue to struggle with the high cost of cooking gas, despite a recent decline in prices. According to a News Agency of Nigeria report, gas prices have dropped from earlier peaks but remain unaffordable for many households. Currently, a kilogram of gas sells between N1,250 and N1,650, with a 5kg cylinder costing between N6,250 and N8,250, and a 12.5kg cylinder between N15,625 and N20,625. Prices have stabilized over the past two months after a sharp rise earlier in the year.
