Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah and the National Sports Commission have unveiled the official mascot for the 2026 National Sports Festival, named 'Odum Eze, Lion King'. The mascot was presented at the International Conference Centre in Enugu, with the governor represented by Deputy Governor Ifeanyi Ossai. The lion symbolizes strength, courage, leadership, and discipline, qualities expected of participating athletes. The festival is scheduled to hold from November 27 to December 11, 2026.
