The Cross River State Police Command has arrested a 37-year-old security guard, Ndifreke Godwin, for allegedly sexually assaulting an eight-year-old girl along Tinapa Road in Calabar Municipality. The Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Eitokpah Sunday, confirmed the arrest in a statement. Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect lured the minor to his residence with the promise of money before assaulting her. The incident was reported by the victim's mother on August 29, 2026, and the victim has been issued a medical report.
