Activist Rev. David Ugolor has alleged that documents from the Corporate Affairs Commission show the Benin-Asaba Expressway Concession Company is owned by a Nigerian with a 95% stake and a Mauritanian national with 5%. He made the disclosure during a virtual meeting on the concession of the 125-kilometre road, which links the South-South and South-East regions. Ugolor called for urgent attention and scrutiny of the concession arrangement due to the road's poor condition.
