The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) reported that active telecom subscriptions in Nigeria rose to 192.23 million in June 2026, up from 189.68 million in May. Teledensity increased to 88.67 percent, while broadband penetration climbed to 56.79 percent from 56.11 percent. The data showed a net addition of 2.56 million subscriptions in the month, reflecting sustained demand for mobile services. MTN Nigeria remained the market leader with 98.64 million subscribers, holding a 51.38 percent market share.
