The Federal Government has announced plans to establish six world-class medical simulation centres, one in each geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, made this known while receiving a report from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Medical Simulation Committee. The centres aim to enhance practical training for students in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and other health professions. This initiative comes as enrolment in health-related programmes has surged, with nursing students rising from about 38,000 to over 120,000 in three years.
