A newborn baby girl was rescued alive after being abandoned in a carton near Ashar Forest in Wuese community, Konshisha LGA, Benue State. The baby was discovered on Saturday by a passerby, Mrs. Mbakasev Yisa, who found her wrapped in clothes. Councillor Gabriel Mbaukaan reported that the baby was in critical condition with maggots around her body. Police were alerted, and the baby was taken to a medical facility for urgent treatment.
