Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, has called on Nigerian youths to take the lead in preserving and promoting the Hausa language, culture, and heritage. He made the appeal while serving as Guest of Honour at the 2026 World Hausa Day celebration organized by Hausa Youth Ghana in Accra. Barau commended the group for its efforts, describing the initiative as significant in strengthening relations between Ghana and Nigeria. He was accompanied by several senators, including the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army and Northern Senators Forum.
