A woman, Doris Ojuederie, has filed a fundamental rights enforcement suit at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja, seeking to stop the Nigeria Police Force from arresting, detaining, or harassing her over a dispute related to her planned marriage to Ifeanyi Ezenwaogene. The suit names the Inspector-General of Police, the Police Service Commission, and several police officers as respondents, along with Mrs Fibiawari Jonathan, whom Ojuederie accuses of instigating the police actions. The applicants are seeking interim orders to restrain the respondents from interfering with their liberty and movement.
