A United States-based Nigerian, Oluwasegun Elusoji, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu and relevant authorities to intervene in the alleged suspension of investigation into a letter he submitted to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The letter, referenced as EFCC/PET/HQR/1656/2025, was submitted on April 28, 2025, and titled 'Urgent request for investigation and legal action regarding identity theft and fraud.' In an open letter to the President, EFCC Chairman, and other officials, Elusoji expressed concern over what he described as an apparent halt in the handling of the petition, which names several individuals allegedly involved in identity theft.
