The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) foiled an attempt to vandalize railway track materials at a siding serving the Dangote Steel Rolling Mills in Osogbo, Osun State. The incident occurred at a siding formerly serving the Osogbo Steel Rolling Mills, which is currently not operational. The NRC's Principal Track Officer received a report on Friday, August 28, 2026, and proceeded to the site with security personnel. The suspected vandals fled upon sighting the security operatives.
