2,000 Amnesty slots: If approved, where did they go? — MOSIEND asks Tinubu

The Movement for the Survival of Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta (MOSIEND) has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene in the alleged exclusion of about 2,000 members of the Egberepapa Camp/Niger Delta Liberation Force from the Presidential Amnesty Programme. The group stated that the affected ex-agitators have been nursing a 17-year-old grievance, as they reportedly laid down their arms and embraced the amnesty initiative. In a statement by its National President, Kennedy Tonjo West, MOSIEND highlighted that the petition from the group raised questions requiring presidential attention, including the criteria for exclusion if slots were approved. The organization urged the president to address the matter urgently.
