The North East Development Commission (NEDC), in partnership with the Adamawa Agricultural Development Programme (ADP), has distributed fertilizer to 21 cooperative societies across Adamawa State to boost agricultural production and support smallholder farmers. The intervention aligns with the Leadership in Agriculture pillar of the NEDC Master Plan, which aims to strengthen agricultural development and improve farmers' livelihoods in the North-East. The NEDC State Coordinator, Barrister Khalifa Muhammad Lawan, handed over the farm inputs to cooperative representatives for distribution to needy and vulnerable farmers. Lawan said the intervention is designed to increase crop production and cushion the impact of rising agricultural input costs.
