The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I Jibrin, attended the World Hausa Day 2026 celebration in Accra, Ghana, where he urged youth to promote and preserve cultural heritage. He was a Guest of Honour at the event organized by Hausa Youth Ghana at the Forecourt of the State House. Jibrin commended the group for promoting the Hausa language and culture, describing it as a significant contribution to strengthening Ghana-Nigeria relations. He was accompanied by several senators, including the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army and the Chairman of the Northern Senators Forum.
