FX utilisation jumps 74% to $16.2bn in Q1

Nigeria's foreign exchange utilisation rose sharply to $16.2 billion in the first quarter of 2026, a 74 percent increase from the same period a year earlier. The rise is attributed to improved dollar supply and greater currency stability. The figures are contained in the Central Bank of Nigeria's Quarterly Statistical Bulletin.
