Investors placed N8.62 trillion worth of bids for the Central Bank of Nigeria's Open Market Operations (OMO) securities in two days, with yields climbing as high as 19.90 percent. The strong demand enabled the CBN to raise N4.72 trillion through four OMO auctions conducted on 26 and 27 August. The auctions exceeded the combined advertised amounts.
