The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has secured about $1.4 billion funding from multilateral development agencies, including the World Bank, African Development Bank (AfDB), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and Agence Française de Development (AFD) for national grid expansion. This funding has resulted in TCN's current transmission wheeling capacity of 8,700MW. The report was published by Tribune Online.
