The Plateau State Police Command has recovered a General Purpose Machine Gun and an AK-47 rifle during an operation in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area. The command's spokesman, SP Alfred Alabo, said Mobile Police officers acted on credible intelligence and encountered suspected bandits in a bush around Kafi Abu on Friday. The suspects fled into the forest, prompting a search that led to the recovery of the weapons. The Commissioner of Police, Ayodeji Faniyan, has deployed additional personnel to sustain the operation and apprehend the fleeing criminals.
