The Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), Dr Kayode Opeifa, has revealed that the country incurs losses of about N300 million for each rail track replacement following vandalism-related accidents. He noted that aside from the financial cost, operational disruptions and loss of human lives also occur. Opeifa made these remarks in an interview with the Nigerian Tribune.
