Donald Duke, presidential candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), has criticized the ongoing debate over petrol subsidy involving President Bola Tinubu, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and former Anambra State governor Peter Obi. Duke argued that petrol could cost about N200 per litre in Nigeria if other by-products from crude oil are properly harnessed. He described the fuel subsidy controversy as a 'scam' and stated that the sale of by-products like diesel, kerosene, and aviation fuel at commercial rates could subsidize the cost of petrol.
