The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ajibola Basiru, visited Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, describing his re-election and the APC's defeat as painful. Basiru acknowledged that he campaigned extensively for the APC candidate across at least 12 local government areas. He stated that the election is now in the past and called for focus on the unity and progress of the state. The visit is seen as a move towards political realignment ahead of the 2027 general election.
