Senator Rufai Sani Hanga, representing Kano Central, has revealed that his split from former Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was due to disagreements over his empowerment programmes. Hanga organized a major event distributing vehicles, rice, fertilizer, and other items to constituents, which Kwankwaso initially agreed to attend. The rift deepened when Hanga held the event at a venue associated with Kwankwaso, despite the former governor's initial approval.
