The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has reaffirmed its sole authority to monitor and control host community funds. The commission stated that the number of registered Host Communities Development Trusts (HCDTs) has reached 172. This move is aimed at ensuring transparency and accountability in the management of funds meant for host communities.
