The Yoruba for Democratic Values (YDV) has called on political aspirants across Yorubaland to prioritise the interests, welfare, security, dignity and aspirations of the Yoruba people in their political programmes. The group's Convener, Debo Adeniran, stated that seeking public office is a solemn commitment to serve the people and protect their collective interests. YDV insisted that ordinary people must never be left behind in the governance process, and that political leaders must move beyond campaign promises.
