Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and Rivers State Governor, Simimalayi Fubara, met in Port Harcourt on Sunday in a bid to consolidate reconciliation efforts. The meeting, which took place at Wike's residence, was attended by former APC Deputy National Chairman Sam Jaja, APC governorship candidate Kingsley Chinda, and Senator Magnus Abe. This was their first meeting since Fubara withdrew his re-election intention for the 2027 governorship race. The talks come amid ongoing efforts to resolve a months-long political crisis between the two camps.
