ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT), China's leading memory-chip maker, has begun small-scale production of HBM3E, an advanced type of high-bandwidth memory used in AI processors. This places CXMT just one generation behind industry giants Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron Technologies. The company plans to expand production by 2027, which could ease constraints on China's development of homegrown AI processors.
