Atiku, Obi, Makinde absent as G100, party chairmen, Reps caucus chart path to 2027

Leaders of Nigeria's six main opposition political parties gathered at the Shehu Musa Yar'Adua Centre in Abuja on Monday for their first summit, aiming to build a cooperation framework ahead of the 2027 general election. Notable absentees included Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Governor Seyi Makinde, though other presidential and vice-presidential candidates such as Prince Adewole Adebayo of the SDP, Donald Duke of the PRP, and Lawal Musa Daura of the APM were present. The summit also saw attendance from National Working Committee members and some Board of Trustees members of the participating parties.
