CP Samuel Etaifo Erale has assumed duty as the 25th Commissioner of Police for Delta State, taking over from CP Yemi John Oyeniyi. Erale brings more than three decades of operational, administrative, and tactical policing experience to the command. He was posted to Delta State in August 2026 after serving as Commissioner of Police in charge of security for the Osun State governorship election. The command described him as a 'tested and trusted operational commander'.
