The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has praised the Department of State Services (DSS) for suspending the prosecution of Omoyele Sowore, the African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, until after the 2027 presidential election. NANS President, Comrade Akinteye Babatunde, described the decision as a commendable commitment to democracy and fairness. He stated that no candidate should be disadvantaged by pending criminal proceedings during the electoral period.
