Prediction market platform Kalshi has permanently banned former U.S. Representative George Santos, marking the first lifetime ban in the company's history. Santos was found to have engaged in prohibited trading by betting on whether he would attend President Donald Trump's 2026 State of the Union address. Kalshi stated that Santos refused to cooperate with the investigation, leading to the harsher penalty. Santos did not attend the address despite announcing plans to do so.
