‘Drop bogus charges against Sowore,’ SERAP tells FG, DSS

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has urged the government and the Department of State Services (DSS) to withdraw all charges against journalist and activist Omoyele Sowore. SERAP stated that the reported decision to adjourn the case until after the 2027 presidential election does not resolve the fundamental issue, as the charges should never have been brought. The organization called for the immediate withdrawal of the charges and an end to the harassment of Sowore.
