Wanted over alleged coup plot, Sylva quits APC, says Nigerians will vote against Tinubu in 2027

Timipre Sylva, a former governor of Bayelsa State and wanted over an alleged coup plot, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC). In his resignation statement, Sylva said he is fully aware that his actions may invite a redoubled witch hunt against him and his associates, but he is willing to take that risk. He also predicted that Nigerians will vote against President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
