The Kano State Police Command has arrested 244 suspects in connection with various crimes, including kidnapping, armed robbery, drug dealing, thuggery, and vehicle theft. Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Adamu Bakori announced the arrests during a press briefing in Kano, stating they resulted from intelligence-led operations, patrols, raids, and community collaboration. Among those arrested were eight suspected kidnappers, 28 armed robbers, seven vehicle thieves, 19 drug dealers, and 172 suspected thugs. The operations also targeted criminal flashpoints across Kano metropolis, leading to the arrest of 117 suspected thugs.
