The Defence Headquarters has confirmed the rescue of ten National Youth Service Corps members who were abducted by suspected kidnappers from Egume Forest in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State. The victims were among 15 corps members kidnapped while travelling from Abuja to Bayelsa State, and the kidnappers had demanded a N20 million ransom. The operation, conducted by joint security forces, is ongoing as efforts continue to rescue the remaining victims and apprehend the perpetrators.
