Omoyele Sowore, presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, has rejected the Department of State Services' proposal to suspend his cyberbullying trial until after the 2027 general elections. Instead, Sowore demands the complete withdrawal of charges, an end to the trial, and a public apology from the DSS. He accused the security agency of attempting to control the courts and lacking the legal right to pause a trial it initiated.
