FG should rethink public ranching, says ex-AGF

Former Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Michael Aondoakaa, has urged the Federal Government to rethink its approach to ranching, arguing that the initiative should be driven by the private sector. Speaking on ARISE TV, he suggested that the government should focus on creating an enabling environment, such as improving cattle breeds and providing infrastructure, while allowing private investors to establish and operate ranches. He cited the poultry and rice sectors as models for private-sector participation.
