The Federal Government has urged teachers in the South-East and South-South geopolitical zones to improve the quality of basic education. Dr. Aisha Garba, Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), gave the charge at a four-day workshop in Uyo. She noted that the Human Capital Opportunity for Prosperity and Equity (HOPE-EDU) initiative, supported by the World Bank, aims to strengthen foundational learning through improved systems and technical support.
