NAPTIP Rescues 180 Trafficked Children, Arrests FMC Onitsha Nurse

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) rescued over 180 children trafficked from five states, uncovering a network of suspected criminal groups posing as civil society and humanitarian organizations. The agency also arrested a nurse at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Onitsha for allegedly possessing one of the trafficked children. The operation recovered three children from a private building in Onitsha and another from the nurse's care, prompting the Director General to issue a warning.
