The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) reported that money meant for public use was taken from a local government account and sent to a private company. After that, the funds were transferred into cryptocurrency wallets, which are digital accounts used for storing cryptocurrencies. The EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, mentioned this during a meeting with media representatives in Abuja, highlighting the need to investigate these suspicious transactions.
