The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) announced that it recovered N1.233 trillion, $684.48 million, and other foreign currencies for the federal and state governments, companies, individuals, and other beneficiaries between October 2023 and June 2026. The commission also secured 10,872 convictions, with cybercrime and advance-fee fraud accounting for nearly two-thirds of major offences. EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede disclosed these figures during a media briefing on his three-year stewardship, attributing the achievements to his team's commitment.
