Democracy stakeholders at a national dialogue on election integrity in Abuja warned that the credibility of Nigeria's 2027 general elections depends on collective action and accountability, not just laws. The dialogue, organised by FixPolitics Africa, highlighted declining voter turnout, which fell from 53.7% in 2011 to 26.7% in 2023. Executive Director Anthony Ubani stressed that institutions and actors must demonstrate integrity to restore public trust.
